Independent, objective, and expert valuation advice for your plant, machinery, equipment and other special assets in Greater China and Asia

What makes CBRE the right plant and machinery valuers?

From a single machine to an entire facility, CBRE can value a range of special assets for your specific business purpose – accounting, purchase and sale, auction, replacement, or due diligence. Our qualified experts have performed plant and machinery valuations on assets in myriad of industries, including energy, iron and steel, textile, pharmaceutical, and waste treatment.

Our strengths lie in our collaborative abilities.

“Good Listening Skills, Ability to Adapt, and Worldwide Experience”

In addition to valuing physical assets, we also offer a range of advisory services, which include market, feasibility, and remaining life studies; due diligence reports; and technical and operation reviews. Our Plant and Machinery team, based in Hong Kong, works regularly with our Business Valuation unit to deliver total client solutions.

Case Study

How do we respond to our client’s challenges?

An international accounting firm appointed as liquidator by creditors engaged CBRE to determine the “market value” of a defunct, fully-integrated, pulp and paper mill in Sipitang, Malaysia.

Because the plant had ceased operations for over a year, our experts applied forensic valuation methods to make up for missing information that would otherwise be available in the course of a typical valuation exercise.

Our team presented to the liquidator four bases of market value: in situ, ex situ, orderly liquidation, and forced liquidation, and in doing so, offered time frame options and revealed pools of potential buyers that client had not previously contemplated.
